Public release statement

Šumi is designed as a contemporary urban building and will comprise of a residential, commercial-catering and hotel area. The residential area will consist of two, three and four-room apartments with an average square footage of 120 m2, and the largest having a square footage of 166 m2. All apartments will have a view of the castle hill, Rožnik, Barje and Ljubljana old town. The ground floor and the first basement will serve as a commercial-catering area with a total square footage of 3,500 m2. A hotel with 151 rooms over six floors will be situated on the northern part of the complex and managed by the hotel chain Barcelὀ. The building will have four basement areas with 337 parking spaces, with 150 parking spaces located in a public parking garage, while 187 will be available for residents. The appeal of Šumi’s location is further emphasised by the proximity of the most famous Slovene cultural institutions, such as the Slovenian Philharmonic, Drama, Cankarjev dom, MGL and numerous art galleries.
